Kelly Ryback is committed to our Community as a whole
As the personality inside the costume we all knew and loved as BUZZ, Kelly Ryback was as much a part of the Winnipeg community as any one person. From Bomber games to community events to fairs, festivals and parades...the biggest cheers were always saved for that zany bird. Closeness of community is of great importance to Kelly to do this day. And it's a key pillar of his vision for St. James.
Here's a list of items Ryback has addressed for St. James in the past year:
*Successfully lobbied to get pot holes fixed on Saskatchewan Avenue between Cavalier Drive and Buchanan Boulevard, on Mount Royal Crescent, and on Linwood Street. He worked hard for Linwood Street as it was being considered for the Enhanced Bike Route Network
*Spoke before three communities and lobbied councillors that led to the saving of John Blumberg GolfÂ
*Lobbying and working with residents on Parkhill & Parkdale regarding a proposed townhouse
*Reported and escalated to have abandoned cars removed from Portage Ave twice
*Assisted a St. James business owner with a successful appeal to obtain an occupancy permit
