As the personality inside the costume we all knew and loved as BUZZ, Kelly Ryback was as much a part of the Winnipeg community as any one person. From Bomber games to community events to fairs, festivals and parades...the biggest cheers were always saved for that zany bird. Closeness of community is of great importance to Kelly to do this day. And it's a key pillar of his vision for St. James.
Here's a list of items Ryback has addressed for St. James and Winnipeg in the past:
*Delivered his fourth annual Intro to Golf at John Blumberg Golf Course for area students in 2026
*Co-founder of the annual Social for Ukraine, raising over $50K
*Served on the board for Grant's Old Mill, secured $620K for its restoration, promoted and delivered the main stage entertainment for the 2024 and 2025 Cuthbert Grant Day
*Service club board member, raising and donating over $200K for various charities, youth development, and for food & shelter security
*Raised $10K for various local charities over the last six years in recognition for his annual 400+ volunteer hours of community service.
*Held numerous clothing, food, and hygiene product drives and collections for our vulnerable population and volunteers at a soup kitchen prepping food.
*Lobbying, informing, and working with residents concerned with local rezoning projects
*Championing many local charities by providing his assistance, promoting donations and raffles, wrangling product donations
